Hamlet Kronborg — Visual Identity
To mark the 400the anniversary of Shakespeare’s death, Hamlet’s residence, Kronborg Castle, held a grand dinner to celebrate Shakespeare and his literary works. The evening consisted of a banquet inspired by the Renaissance, including everything from pheasants and skulls to dancing and fencing. Moreover, this night aspired to blend history and modernity by using today’s DJ’s and musicians and incorporating lutes and rapiers representing the past. The poster embrace exactly this, the new mixed with the old and seek to employ the traditional 1600’s Vanita’s still-life with modern elements used at the festivities, such as a Technics 1210 record player and the Iphone 4. All the pieces on the photo were collected and photographed in one single shot.
